We are moving to....

KUALA LUMPUR!

All suggestions for a new blog title welcome :)
My husband has just left to spend the week in Malaysia; he actually tried to get us to feel sorry for the fact that he's going to spend 22 hours on a plane each way in business class with no one but himself to think about, the latest movies to watch, all his food and drink handed to him on a tray, no laundry, no nappy changes, no toddler tantrums to negotiate, and getting paid into the bargain. Safe to say, sympathy was thin on this little patch of Norwegian ground.
Back soon with tales of spring in Norway, tearful farewells to snow boots & my polyester fake sheepskin coat (yes really!), and the much-awaited appointment with the endodontist.

Poor hubby having to put up with all that business class bliss eh?!

Best of luck to you and your family for the next part of your adventure.

Congrats and best of luck in Malaysia! I'm guessing it should be very similar to Singapore, only bigger?
I wonder if Boon (BAI) is still there?

So exciting, definitely no sympathy for toddler free first class trips. When are you away exactly? My in laws were not allowed travel today to me from Sweden due to volcanic ashes erupting from Iceland, lots of flights cancelled and airports shut hope that doesn't interrupt himself. Maybe just shorten your title to Irish Nomad and then it is relevant wherever you end up? or you could add a bracket (in XX) Keep us updated, I hate moving, I really do but perhaps you like the idea of leaving the snow for the sunshine and that is motivating you?

Thanks all. The week didn't go well. Will post soon. Hubby still stuck in KL, in a five-star hotel with a corporate credit card and several really good friends who have been entertaining him and showing him around. Poor man.

Wow! Kuala Lumpur. Never been but have heard how nice it is. I like Irish Mammy's suggestion for a new blog title.

Sorry to hear your husband is stuck, meaning that you are stuck home alone. Hope he gets back soon.

Thanks Michele. A week ago I'd have been horrified at having another week on my own with the kids but after having a week being sick at home withe them, a healthier one seems fine. Ain't life funny :)
Sorry Irish Mammy didn't mean to ignore your blog title suggestion. I think it's a good idea, as we will move on from KL eventually too. Don't know if I'll still be blogging though.
Alan - maybe I can look Boon up, if he's there. There was a Trinity Graduates Association in Singapore when we lived there.

Blog title suggestion, not meant very seriously: Kuala Lumping It. Actually I think Irish Mammy's suggestion is a good one.

Good luck in KL, we found many wonderful restaurants and wonderful places in the hills but the pollution and traffic will drive you mad for the first few months!
