Annual Moose Posing

I imagine that our house has a reputation among the animals in the area as 'the house where the paparazzo lives.' No sooner has a four-legged friend appeared in the field and I'm grabbing my camera. Last night this mommy moose and her two calves patiently hung around for ages, grazing and posing as I snapped.
I tried to entice them to come closer but they said I should be grateful to have had the chance to get so many shots as it was. I swear - mommy moose even had the audacity to yawn!

Wow! You're so lucky to be able to see moose and deer from your stoop (or window or whatever) while living so close to the city. Great photo!

Also wanted to say welcome home and good for you for having the guts to ask a good question of an author you admire. I have a thin skin, too, and understand your reaction. We just have to work to remember that, just because lots of people disagree with you doesn't mean you're wrong. And even if we are wrong sometimes, so what? At least we're thinking...

Jo - you're right. I fear for the long-term prospects of these poor, beautiful beasts.
Michele - adore the word stoop! And thanks for the nice words :)
